There are several startups and projects, that offer highly technological products designed to help people with physical or motor disabilities.
WATCh-me (Wearable Attention Training for the Child-Mother Environment) is a startup that has developed a care device for cognitive delay that supports home-based rehabilitation by involving parents actively.

This is a project of technological innovation, born at the Center 0-3 of the IRCCS Medea Institute. One of the founders is Livio Provenzi, a psychotherapist.
The aim of Kimap project, of the startup Kinoa  is instead to facilitate the mobility and the autonomy of the disabled through an app that offers a system of mapping of architectural barriers.

As a first step the disabled has to map the paths; then the app, thanks to a geolocation system, will allow users to have a real navigator who follows them through the path by signaling difficulties or obstacles.

The creators of this app are Lapo Cecconi and Marco Scarselli.

Mouseup, on the other hand, is a project aimed at helping people with upper limb disabilities, allowing pointer mobility without having to use the hand. Demoapp, the Android application from which the device is also made, also allows you to give commands to your device simply by using the voice.

The project was designed and realized by some students from the I.I.S.S. Alessandro Greppi (LC) under the guidance of Professor Gennaro Malafronte.

Sesame Enable has invented a system to use the phone without the need to use hands. The Sesame phone works by following the movements of the head of the user using the integrated camera and facing the phone. A cursor controlled by the position and movements of the user’s head will appear on the phone screen.

The founder is Israeli Oded Ben Dov.

Pedius is a communication system created by the homonymous Pedius srl that allows deaf people to make phone calls using voice recognition and speech synthesis technologies. Through this system the user can write his message and Pedius will send it to the contact he selected using an artificial voice, or by using his voice during the call. The user can then read real-time the responses of his / her interlocutor.

If you have patented a tool that could improve people’s lives and you would like to sell it or find partners that help you financing the prototype. Or if you only have the idea and would like to find collaborators for your startup, publish your idea or project for free on innovingbiz.

Do not keep your ideas in a drawe and help improve the lives of people in trouble.
